You carry two worlds inside you, the one that raised you and the one you’re building now. Most days, it feels like there’s no room to be all of you at once. “Lately, the weight has gotten heavier, and you don’t know what to do next.
I help couples and individuals heal what childhood, culture, and family history left unfinished, so they can build relationships, and lives that finally feel whole.
You’re in the right place if…
You love your culture and your family, and yet some of what you were taught doesn’t sit right with you.
You’re fluent in two worlds and still feel like you don’t fully belong in either one.
Your relationship brings together two different cultures and two different playbooks, and you’re struggling to figure out how to build something that honours both of you.
You’ve spent years being the one who holds everything together, and you’re exhausted from carrying it alone.
“A deep sense of love and belonging is an irreducible need of all people.”Brené Brown
Here’s what becomes possible when we work together…
You stop feeling like you have to choose between honouring where you came from and becoming who you’re meant to be. You now have the tools to cultivate a life of peace, health, and happiness.
You learn to hold your history with love instead of guilt, and now get to build a life that honours all of you. Not by rejecting your roots. By finally understanding them well enough to decide, on your own terms, what you carry forward and what you set down. It feels like freedom, and you deserve it.
Your relationship with your family shifts from obligation to choice. You learn to set boundaries without guilt, and to love the people who raised you without losing yourself in the process. That relationship becomes something you tend to, not something you’re stuck carrying.
Your relationship now honours both of you. You heal what needs healing and find what has felt missing. You are now walking forward as a thriving, healthy, and happy couple.
You stop feeling religious shame, guilt, or feelings of inadequacy for not meeting all the rules of your family’s religious tradition. You repair your relationship with God and anchor it in His unconditional love.
Someone who has lived the dissonance, and the healing
I’m Neida Santini. I’m an immigrant, a mother, a wife, a Venezuelan-Canadian Latina woman, and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who has lived the exact dissonance and healing I now help my incredible clients work through. I know what it’s like to hold deep love for where you came from and still feel the friction of trying to live fully in a new world. I also know what it’s like to navigate and heal that which holds us back from living an intentional, healthy, and thriving life. In our work together, I bring both clinical training and lived experience to help you make sense of what shaped you and provide you with tools for healing so you can move forward to building your life with intention. I walk along with you on your journey, and together we help you move into your next chapter.
Three ways to begin
Individual Therapy
For the ones who’ve always been the bridgeIf you grew up translating between two worlds, your parents’ and the one you were building for yourself, you already know what that costs. The guilt of wanting something different. The loneliness of not feeling fully understood in either language, or either culture. In our work together, we untangle what’s actually yours to carry and what was handed to you, so you can build a life that’s fully, finally, your own.
Couples Therapy
For love across two culturesYou fell in love across two different worlds, two different families, two different ideas of what love and partnership are supposed to look like. That can be one of the richest parts of your relationship, and some days, one of the hardest. My work with couples like you isn’t about picking a side or blending into one culture. It’s about helping you build a third thing together, a relationship that honours where you both came from and still feels like it belongs to only the two of you.
Speaking & Media
For rooms that need to feel understoodOver 13 years in the mental health field, including talks for federal government teams and youth organizations across Canada. I speak on the invisible weight of anxiety and depression that second-generation and immigrant-raised adults carry, and how it shows up in identity, relationships, and mental health. I help create mental health awareness and support the development of healthy workplaces. If you’re looking for a speaker who can make a room feel both understood and hopeful, let’s talk about your audience and what you need.

Lived, not just studied
When you work with me, you’re working with someone who has walked this path, not just studied it. I bring over 13 years in the mental health field, including work with federal government teams and youth organizations across Canada, and ongoing speaking and media work on the invisible weight that second-generation and immigrant-raised adults carry. But just as important: I’ve done my own work of navigating two cultures, two sets of expectations, and figuring out how to build a life that honours both. I’m not guiding you through something I’ve only read about. I’ve lived it, and I’m still living it, alongside you.

What if I don’t want to continue with therapy after the free discovery call?
That’s completely okay. The Discovery Call isn’t a commitment to therapy, it’s a conversation, a chance for us to meet, for you to ask questions, and for both of us to feel confident this is the right fit before you decide anything. If it’s not, there’s no pressure and no hard feelings.
What does it mean that you are a qualifying psychotherapist?
It means I’m registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the regulatory body that oversees psychotherapy in the province. I’ve completed my required education and training, and I’m currently completing my supervised clinical hours on the path to full registration. I’m held to the same ethical standards, accountability, and professional liability insurance requirements as any other CRPO registrant. In plain terms: I’m a fully regulated, qualified professional, just at an earlier stage of my registration journey.
What if I’ve never done therapy before and I’m scared or don’t know if it will help me?
That’s one of the most common feelings people bring to a first call, and it makes complete sense. You don’t need to know how therapy works, or even fully understand what’s wrong, to start. We begin exactly where you are, at your pace. You do not have to have it figured out to begin.
